The room was lovely .. the staff at the pool and the cleaners were lovely .. the view by the pool Was amazing

The pool area is dirty . The whole 10 days we were there , the same stains on the floor (bird pooh and chocolate) were still there. Breakfast is very minimal for a 5 star hotel. Some of the reception staff were unhelpful bordering on rude .

Beautiful setting and friendly staff

Very friendly staff, the bed was huge we loved it, location made it easy to get to the main towns and beaches and a lovely breakfast

The pool was small, due to the layout sun beds didn’t receive sun all day, we also only got a sun bed once due to people saving them from early hours. Our room was also quite warm the air con didn’t seem to work fully

Amazing place, fantastic staff and overall improved the experience of Kata beach significantly! Will definitely be back!

- staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming - brilliant view and facilities - cleaning service on point - pool was exquisite

- up a very steep hill! But this was also a good thing to work off the food and drinks consumed throughout the day

A pleasant hotel with beautiful views but customer service could be better.

Spacious rooms, nice to be slightly away from the busy town, beautiful views.

Pool was small for hotel size, lots of flies and mosquitos (but not sure what you can do about that), breakfast quite average, staff all seemed stressed, overworked & downtrodden - I felt quite sorry for them - unfortunately as a result they were not particularly helpful or friendly. The hill walk back to the hotel was tough but didn’t bother us.

I liked that it was non smoking. I loved the pool area. The room was really decent. We had a top level deluxe room that was nice and private and view of the beach. The towels were sooo soft! Nicest towels of our trip so far!

Nothing really, other than the only mirror in the room was the one in the bathroom. Would be good if there was a full length mirror in the room. The only other comment would be they were setting up for a new years event on the 2 days we were there and they removed the majority of the sunbeds to do this. It would have been great if there was a simple sign explaining this. Also, in regards to location and the walk up the hill. Apparently there’s a back path/steps leading down where you don’t need to go on the road. Reception should inform guests of this. Personally I liked the location, the walk up the hill is only 5 minutes. I had no issues with it. In reference to some of the other review comments, regarding flies and bees at breakfast, of course there will be flies! The food it covered where possible, there’s nothing else the hotel can do. Breakfast in general, I thought was great. Good selection of food and a few different dishes each day. Mould in the bathroom and general wear and tear of the property. Personally, we didn’t have any mould in our bathroom. Yes slight wear and tear but nothing so out there it ruined our stay. I think a little more care could be taken with the grass and gardens along the paths to the rooms.

It was a wonderful holiday for me and my husband as we celebrated our thirtieth anniversary at there

The room was with a spectacular view of sea, big comfortable bed and spacious room, wall decorations were natural tone and were made out of recycled resources which display the commitment of sustainability from the team of Andaman Cannacia and it's management.

People who were staying at the next room were smoking at the balcony and being very noisy and listening their music on speaker which ruined our peaceful and relaxing time in the balcony after our dinner. Smoking should be prohibited and there should be a designated area for the smokers to smoke.

Nice trip on the hills overlooking Kata.

Very spacious rooms with comfortable beds, great air conditioning, fantastic pool area, shuttle bus every hour to Kata, and a well equipped gym.

Wifi was very poor, breakfast consisted of very low-quality cheap food (so bad I just ate boiled eggs and fruit), limited sun beds (which guests would “claim” with their towels as early as 7am - hotel management need to fix this), and many mosquitoes in the room (housekeeping should close doors when they turn over the room). The rooms were a bit dated.

Awesome

Magnificent restaurant at the hotel. Never have I ever experienced a hotel restaurant to be better than all the others. Friendly staff and nice pool area.

Very high up on a hill, warm promenades to get back to the hotel. Or try to catch the shuttle.

The view of the Kata bay is one of the best. Restaurant manager is very attentive.

Astroturf and the slippery wood imitation tiles near swimming pool when wet got slippery and one guest fell down. Short-cut down to Kata beach is dangerous. Food is average. Water quality in pool could be improved.

Excellent staffing makes this location a good place to stay. The hill leading up to it...maybe not!!

This is again another example of doing your homework before choosing a place to stay. If i had done better research I probably wouldn't have stayed here. This would NOT be due to anything bad about the Resort as the facilities, staff were all excellent but due to the fact that it is quite high up and unless you have calves like Usain Bolt, the walk up the hill it from the beach can be strenuous. However, Im not placing this issue with the resort but it is something that prospective customers may want to factor in before choosing to stay. The Resort itself was very good. The room was very clean with the bed itself being massive. Staying with the room, this was cleaned daily with bedding and towels changed upon request. The air conditioning was a god send as it was pretty much 24 degrees every night. The breakfast itself was exceptionally good with a humongous range of food available. The pool was a good size and had tiered levels to it and as such never felt full. Towels were provided for poolside use. Staff were helpful and I genuinely believe that if I had had an issue during my stay they would have bent over backwards to help resolve it. After travelling around for a few weeks before arriving at The Andaman Cannacia Resort & Spa, this was a great place to chill and kick back before returning home.

Considering the elevated location of the hotel and the fact that they already provided a shuttle service taking people to and from the beach (this was free of charge) I was surprised that they didn't expand on this by doing trips to places like Phuket Town and the Sleeping Buddah etc. Even if they had charged a fee for these trips I am sure they would have been very popular with guests. I felt that they could be more recliners around the pool area as these seem to be used up quite fast and once claimed they never seemed to become available throughout the day. I also thought that the roof was a missed opportunity as this gave great views of the surrounding area. A couple of chairs/recliners and this would have been a great spot to see the sun rise/set.
